17.07.2015 For the period Jan. – Apr. 2015 2644K tones of goods have been transported form Russian Federation to European Union by road. Its 4% less than for the same period in 2014 (hereinafter the data is given on the basis of Eurostat, data-processing by Department of Analytics, TELS Group). The main products for export in this period are: wood and wood products (45%) , fuel and energy products (11%), ferrous metals and metal scrap (9%), inorganic chemicals (5%), rubber (5%), aluminum (3%), plastic materials (3%).

Noticeable decrease in export transportation can be observed from March 2015.Though the dynamics of the first quarter 2015 was positive (+7,8% comparing with Jan – March 2014). In April 2015 the negative tendency increased strongly regarding both – March 2015 and positive dynamics 2013/2014.

The decrease of export volumes in numbers

The decrease of export volumes transported by road (in tons) was influenced mainly by:

  • fuel and energy products (-125K. t; -31%);
  • ferrous metals and metal scrap (-5K. t; -17%);
  • inorganic chemicals (-19 K, t; -13%);
  • paper (-6 K. t; -41%);
  • copper and aluminum (-6K. t; -38% and -7% accordingly);
  • leather and leather raw materials (-5 K. t; -14%);
  • organic chemicals (-5K. t; -14%);
  • grains (-4K. t; -65%).

The export transportations of fish, sugar, oils, fancy goods and office supplies decreased as well.
The decrease of export transportations by road was partly compensated by the growth of transportations of the below mentioned goods:

  • plastics (+28K. t; +73%);
  • wood and wood products, fuelwood (+27 K. t; +2%);
  • oil seeds and fruits (+13K, t; +169%);
